Hamilton High school boys’ football team, ranked 9th on the DigitalSports National Football Rankings, hosted Brophy College Prep Friday, September 6th, and every time Hamilton faced adversity that night, they responded with a big play from both sides of the ball.
Brophy is a very talented team, but as hard as they clawed and faught they were unable to overcome the Huskies offensive assault, resulting in a 26-9 win for Hamilton.
Hamilton now (2-0) answered with the first points of the game on a 2-yard run by QB Sam Sasso. Sasso set up the score with a perfect dump pass to RB Tyrell Smith for a 22-yard gain. Sasso finished the contest completing 11 of 19 passes for 226 yards and one touchdown.
Brophy had cut the score to 20-9 with two minutes left in the third quarter giving them some life, but the Huskie defense was ferocious and did not allow another Brophy point in the game.
The Hamilton Huskies will be on the road in their next matchup when they look to battle the Liberty Patriots on Friday, September 20th, @ 7:00PM.
